so recently i realized something about this scene, small really, but i think it’s notable. In these scene we are shown that at least one version of Eridan made it to the poofy pants of god tier. Now I’m not sure if being a doomed timeline interferes with this, we all know the only way for a god tier player to die is either heroically or justly.

I remembered that when thinking about this scene and it got me wondering, how did this one die? Now i may be wrong, sort of depends on how forgiving Feferi is i guess and if they are even from the same time line, but i don’t think she would be hanging around with him if he had died a villain.

So I think there is a pretty good chance that, in at least one time line, Eridan could have died a hero

Guys, he DID die a hero’s death. In the big group fight, there are dead God Tier Eridans, so he has actually died a hero more than once. He actually is a nice and caring troll but nobody literally thinks about placing themselves in his shoes. Say, imagine a stereotypical picture of Eridan with a broken heart and crying while watching sollux and fef are being extremely cute with a gentle matespriteism. Now… Delete that picture from your mind. Imagine Sollux, crying, with a broken heart beside him as he watched Eridan and Fef being in a nice, gentle, cute matespriteism. Imagine sollux crying by himself and asking for others to pay attention to or talk to him. Asking someone to fill the void in his life / heart. 

Really, if you just replace Eridan with any other troll it puts into perspective for those people who hate him for shitty reasons how much of an actual person he is. With real legitimate feelings. But everyone brushes it off as being desperate or a joke because, idk, he wears a cape and scarf and colorful clothing. I mean, really, nobody actually thinks about Eridan as if he was a person, everyone treats him like a joke, and it sickens me.
